WHO WE ARE

Since the 1980's, Laborers of the Harvest has consistently served our community by providing food, kindness, and a smile to everyone who walks in our doors.  We currently give food to approximately 530 families and 2,400 individuals each month.

Laborers of the Harvest is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation that was started by Bill Smith and Bob Brown.  They handed it all over to Mike and Becky Long.  They all wanted to make a difference in their community and Taft is a better place because of their tireless efforts.  Through their faithful dedication, we became an essential source of food for people in need.  After carrying the torch for over 30 years, Mike and Becky handed the organization off to new leadership in 2019 so that the mission could continue.

Laborers of the Harvest is governed by a small but dedicated Board of Directors.

Most of the Board are long time residents of the community.

All give to the organization in a variety of essential ways.
